Stability and activity studies were carried out on the enzyme endo-1,4-ß-Galactanase from Aspergillus Niger. Its functionality was verified in transglycosylation reactions with linear alcohols as nucleophiles, along its native hydrolytical function. Starting from previously collected experimental data, a structural refinement was carried out on an exo-1,4-ß-Xylosidase through the technique of molecular replacement.
Studi di stabilità ed attività sono stati condotti sull'enzima endo-1,4-ß-Galactanase dell'Aspergillus Niger. La sua funzionalità è stata verificata in reazioni di transglicosilazione con alcoli lineari come nucleofili, oltre a quella nativa di idrolisi. A partire da dati sperimentali già disponibili, è stato effettuato un refinement strutturale su un exo-1,4-ß-Xylosidase secondo la tecnica del molecular replacement.
