TRADUZIONE DELLA COSTITUZIONE DELLA REPUBBLICA ITALIANA IN LINGUA RUSSA: UN'ANALISI LINGUISTICA

The aim of this paper is to analyse the translation of the Constitution of the Italian Republic into Russian proposed by the Embassy of the Russian Federation. The investigation starts from a comparison between the version of the text in the original language and its translation into Russian. The aim is, therefore, to bring out, through an in-depth examination of the main levels of the language system, the various problems related to them. The first level is the lexical one, in relation to which the respective technical terms and clichés of the Russian official language will be highlighted. Next, there will be an in-depth study concerning morphology, in which the focus will be on the following aspects: nominalisation and the appearance of the verb in Russian. In relation to syntax, the different types of sentences will be analysed together with the use of participial constructs and gerunds. A series of subordinate propositions will then be analysed and a further comparison will be made regarding word order in the Russian sentence in comparison to the Italian language. Ultimately, we will focus on the realisation of the passive in Russian and how the obligatory is expressed. From this analysis, theoretical observations will emerge concerning the fundamental differences between the two languages, such as to highlight the particularities of each. The theoretical section, structured in two chapters, will focus on the Italian legal language with its peculiarities together with those of the Russian legal language; then, there will be a part dedicated to the theory of translation and the translation of legal texts, as well as the main translation strategies and problems. Finally, a proposal for the translation of some articles of the Italian constitution into Russian will be presented.

Il presente lavoro ha come obiettivo l’analisi della traduzione della Costituzione della Repubblica italiana in lingua russa proposta dall’ambasciata della Federazione Russa. L’indagine prende le mosse dal confronto tra la versione del testo in lingua originale e la relativa traduzione in lingua russa. Ci si propone, dunque, di far emergere attraverso l’approfondimento dei principali livelli del sistema linguistico i vari problemi ad essi relativi. Il primo livello è quello lessicale, in relazione al quale verranno messi in rilievo i rispettivi termini tecnici e cliché del linguaggio ufficiale russo. Successivamente, ci sarà un approfondimento riguardante la morfologia, nel quale l’attenzione si focalizzerà sui seguenti aspetti: nominalizzazione e aspetto del verbo in russo. In relazione alla sintassi, saranno oggetto di analisi le diverse tipologie di frasi congiuntamente all’uso dei costrutti participiali e gerundi. Verranno, poi, analizzate una serie di proposizioni subordinate e si proseguirà con un ulteriore confronto riguardante l’ordine delle parole nella frase russa rispetto alla lingua italiana. In ultima analisi, ci si soffermerà sulla realizzazione del passivo in russo e sulle modalità di espressione dell’obbligatorietà. Da tale analisi emergeranno osservazioni teoriche riguardanti le differenze fondamentali tra le due lingue, tali da mettere in risalto le particolarità di ognuna. La sezione teorica, strutturata in due capitoli, avrà ad oggetto il linguaggio giuridico italiano con le sue peculiarità unitamente a quelle del linguaggio giuridico russo; in seguito, vi sarà una parte dedicata alla teoria della traduzione e alla traduzione dei testi normativi, nonché alle principali strategie e problemi traduttivi. Sarà, infine, presentata una proposta di traduzione di alcuni articoli della costituzione italiana in lingua russa.
