Giuseppe Flavio, Egesippo, Sepher Yosippon: letture e riletture dell'intervento romano in Giudea

The thesis examines Bellum Judaicum I 107-158 and Antiquitates Judaicae XIII 407-XIV 78, two parallel accounts of the Roman military campaign in Judaea in 63 b. C.. Then it focuses on how the events are retold in the Christian De excidio Hieroslymitano (I 12-I 18) and in the Jewish Sepher Yosippon (34-36), offering a translation of the texts.

La tesi analizza i due resoconti paralleli dell'intervento romano in Giudea nel 63 a. C. contenuti in Guerra Giudaica I 107-158 e in Antichità Giudaiche XIII 407-XIV 78. Vengono poi discusse le narrazioni degli stessi eventi contenute nel De excidio Hieroslymitano (I 12- I 18) e nel Sepher Yosippon (34-36), offrendo anche una traduzione italiana dei due testi. Obiettivo del lavoro è osservare come le differenti prospettive degli autori determinano differenze nella presentazione degli avvenimenti.
