The following thesis deals with the case study of Denmark's Råbjerg Mile mobile sand dunes. The dunes are going to cover part of the surrounding area, including the only road leading from the rest of Denmark to its northernmost city, Skagen. Since the Danish government has not yet decided what to do, the issue has triggered a broader reflection on how to deal with a changing landscape that is not always in our favour. Starting from the study of socio-natural theories on overcoming the dichotomy between man and nature, these questions arise: accustomed to subjugating the environment around us, what will happen when nature becomes uncontrollable? Are there alternative solutions for a future where nature is no longer under our will?

Abstract
Are there alternative solutions for a future where nature is no longer under our will?File | Dimensione | Formato | |
