This thesis investigates some aspects related to the development of terminological and lexical competence in ELE among four groups of Italian learners. To achieve this, an associative test was developed that allowed for a linguistic-statistical survey to be conducted. The test was designed based on traditional studies of lexical availability, such as the Pan-Hispanic Project of Lexical Availability and pioneering research by Carcedo, followed by studies by Samper Hernández, Sánchez Saus, Hidalgo, Del Barrio and Vann. However, a series of changes and adjustments were incorporated to conform to the specific characteristics of our informants. Through the lexical measurement test, the most available words were analysed, namely, those that came to mind first for the respondents and activated connections based on thematic stimuli. This research, in the context of lexical availability, is noteworthy for being an original project that is capable of detecting knowledge of business Spanish vocabulary among Italian-speaking students. The results that emerged from the quantitative analysis of the data have led to novel reflections, which allow comparisons with other works of the same nature in the future.
Esta Tesis indaga algunos aspectos relativos al desarrollo de la competencia léxica terminológica en ELE en cuatro grupos de aprendices italianos. Para su realización, ha sido desarrollada una prueba asociativa que permitió realizar una encuesta lingüístico-estadística que se ha decidido concebir y diseñar siguiendo, básicamente, las que tradicionalmente han caracterizado los estudios de disponibilidad léxica, a partir del Proyecto Panhispánico de Disponibilidad Léxica y las investigaciones pioneras de Carcedo, seguidas por los estudios de Samper Hernández, Sánchez Saus, Hidalgo y Del Barrio y Vann. Sin embargo, se han incorporado una serie de cambios y ajustes para conformarse a las características específicas de nuestros informantes. Por medio del test de medición léxica se analizaron las palabras más disponibles, a saber, las que primero les acudieron a la mente a los encuestados y que activaron conexiones basadas en estímulos temáticos. La investigación, en el contexto de la disponibilidad léxica, destaca por ser un proyecto original, capaz de detectar el conocimiento del vocabulario del español de los negocios en estudiantes italófonos. Los resultados que surgieron del análisis cuantitativo de los datos han llevado a novedosas reflexiones, que posibilitan futuras comparaciones con otros trabajos de la misma índole.
