According to the model proposed by Enrico E. Jones (2000), it is the emergence and transformation of interaction structures – repetitive patterns of interaction between patient and therapist over the course of treatment – that lead to therapeutic change. Within the context of process-outcome research, this single case study aims to investigate the relationship between interaction structures and outcome of a psychodynamically oriented psychotherapy with a patient with dependent personality disorder (DDP). For this purpose, the interaction structures of six treatment phases identified by the Psychotherapy Process Q-set (PQS) were related to the therapy outcome as measured by the Shedler-Westen Assessment Procedure (SWAP-200) and the Millon Clinical Multiaxial Inventory-III (MCMI-III). The results suggest a link between specific patient-therapist interaction structures and the change in the patient's personality structure.

Abstract
The results suggest a link between specific patient-therapist interaction structures and the change in the patient's personality structure.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
