IMPACT INVESTING: LE FORESTE COME ASSET CLASS

Sustainability becomes of great importance day by day. What can we do to adapt to changes including regulatory changes and sustainability goals set in the long term? The world is changing and with it the way we invest. Forests, in Europe, are becoming a new asset class to invest in. But, how much actually can be considered a sustainable investment? And what does this type of investment consist of? Why is it that in Europe it has only recently reached interest, whereas in America, for example, it has already been present for some time? In this paper I will try to bring to light the answers to the main questions related to this topic.

La sostenibilità diventa giorno dopo giorno di grande importanza. Cosa possiamo fare per adeguarci ai cambiamenti anche normativi e agli obiettivi di sostenibilità posti nel lungo termine? Il mondo sta cambiando e con lui anche il modo di investire. Le foreste, in Europa, diventano un nuovo asset class su cui investire. Ma, quanto effettivamente può essere considerato un investimento sostenibile? E in cosa consiste questo tipo di investimento? Come mai in Europa ha raggiunto l'interesse solo recentemente e invece in America, ad esempio, è presente già da tempo? In questo elaborato cercherò di portare alla luce le risposte alle principali domande legate a questo argomento.
