In a nutshell, the literature review will analyze some past and current trends of trade in Pakistan, present an overview of balance of payments, current account deficits and then IMF loans. In the next chapter, I shall connect the deficits with GDP and economic growth and then analyze it with other developing countries as well. Then I shall highlight what other developing nations are doing to handle this deficit and what Pakistan is not doing. Further, I shall highlight the probable causes of these deficits and why Pakistan is not able to eradicate them. In the end, I shall provide a summary and some key points on how we can lessen this deficit and what measures can be taken.
