"Venerunt ad Aquilam". Forestieri e mobilità alpina nei registri bullettarum di Trento (1471 - 1474).

The study of the mobility of goods and people in the Trentino-Tyrol region has seen a marked development in recent years, even if this is in contrast to the few documentary sources available. These include the "registri bullettarum", in which all foreigners arriving in Trento in the closing decades of the Middle Ages were registered; their use for research has been extensive, but not yet thorough. In this work, an attempt has therefore been made, through the use of relational databases and new research methodologies, to provide a more detailed picture of the routes and travellers who passed through Trento and the Alps in the 1470s. From the 8140 records for the period 1471 - 1474, an attempt was therefore made to reconstruct the movements of the more than 12,000 travellers catalogued: their backgrounds, origins and destinations, but also who hosted them and how during their journey through the Dolomites and the Adige Valley.

Lo studio della mobilità di beni e persone in area trentino-tirolese ha visto negli ultimi anni un deciso sviluppo, anche se in contrasto con le poche fonti documentarie a disposizione. Tra queste si annoverano i "registri bullettarum", dove venivano iscritti tutti i forestieri che giungevano a Trento nei decenni conclusivi del medioevo; il loro utilizzo per la ricerca è stato molto ampio, ma non ancora approfondito. In questo lavoro si è dunque cercato, attraverso l'uso di database relazionali e nuove metodologie di ricerca, di fornire un quadro più dettagliato dei viaggi e delle persone che passarono per Trento e le Alpi negli anni Settanta del XV secolo. A partire dalle 8140 registrazioni per il periodo 1471 - 1474, si è quindi cercato di ricostruire i movimenti degli oltre 12 000 viaggiatori catalogati: le loro origini, provenienze e destinazioni, ma anche chi li ospitò e come durante il loro passaggio attraverso le Dolomiti e la Valle dell'Adige.
