Per l'iconografia sacra tra Ottocento e Novecento: il caso di Noè Bordignon.

Between the last decades of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century, in the Veneto region, Noè Bordignon was one of the major fresco painters, both for the quantity and for the quality of the works created. He mainly works in religious buildings and among these he chooses the churches bordering his native land: Castelfranco Veneto. Thanks to the city's support, he has the opportunity to attend the Venice Academy. Here he confronts the great themes of traditional sacred iconography, which he will later reinterpret in the light of his rural origins, to address the faithful through an easily decodable language.

Fra gli ultimi decenni dell'Ottocento e i primi del Novecento, nel Veneto, Noè Bordignon è uno dei maggiori pittori ad affresco, sia per la quantità, che per la qualità delle opere realizzate. Lavora prevalentemente negli edifici religiosi e tra questi sceglie le chiese confinanti con la sua terra natale: Castelfranco Veneto. Grazie al sostegno cittadino, ha la possibilità di frequentare l'Accademia di Venezia. Qui si confronta con i grandi temi dell'iconografia sacra tradizionale, che in seguito reinterpreterà alla luce di quelle che sono le sue origini rurali, per rivolgersi al fedele attraverso un linguaggio facilmente decodificabile.
