The aim of this study is to understand the characteristics of European citizens that influence their choice to adopt eco-sustainable behaviors during vacations. The data used for this purpose comes from the Flash Eurobarometer survey 499, conducted in 2021 with the involvement of 25.714 European citizens from the 27 member states. Among the questions asked, there are ten in which respondents are asked whether they are willing or not to implement various eco-sustainable actions, and the following analysis focuses on these, trying to understand which factors influence the response. Given the hierarchical nature of the data and the aim of analyzing differences between the different countries involved, multilevel logistic models are used to take into account both the heterogeneity between and within countries.

Abstract
The aim of this study is to understand the characteristics of European citizens that influence their choice to adopt eco-sustainable behaviors during vacations. The data used for this purpose comes from the Flash Eurobarometer survey 499, conducted in 2021 with the involvement of 25.714 European citizens from the 27 member states. Among the questions asked, there are ten in which respondents are asked whether they are willing or not to implement various eco-sustainable actions, and the following analysis focuses on these, trying to understand which factors influence the response. Given the hierarchical nature of the data and the aim of analyzing differences between the different countries involved, multilevel logistic models are used to take into account both the heterogeneity between and within countries.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
