This academic study critically examines the interconnected challenges posed by contemporary climate change, environmental crisis and economic instability. It explores the role of capitalism as a contributing factor to these crises, emphasising the mechanisms of exploitation and domination inherent in the current economic system. Supported by postcolonial studies, the analysis deepens the conceptual framework of colonialism and its enduring influence on modern capitalism. The study therefore investigates the potential of ecosocialism as a transformative trajectory to address these challenges and promote a sustainable society. It emphasises the importance of local ecological communities as alternative models to the capitalist paradigm, highlighting the fundamental interconnection between humans and nature, as well as the need for socio-ecological integration. The thesis also underlines the central role of education in fostering critical awareness and promoting a sense of responsibility towards the environment and social justice. An interdisciplinary and experiential approach to education is advocated, aimed at promoting ecological culture, social awareness, active citizenship and political struggle. Finally, the research explores the URBiNAT internship project as a practical manifestation of ecological communities within the framework of ecosocialism. The work concludes by emphasising the imperative for holistic action encompassing political, economic, social and educational dimensions to effectively address the current crises and lay the foundations for a sustainable and just society.

Abstract
The work concludes by emphasising the imperative for holistic action encompassing political, economic, social and educational dimensions to effectively address the current crises and lay the foundations for a sustainable and just society.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
