However, the industry is associated with several risks and challenges, particularly in terms of the health, safety, and security of miners. [Ali and Kim, 2021; International Council on Mining and Metals, 2015; International Labour Organization, 2019] The development of a comprehensive tracking platform integrating hardware, software, and GIS technologies could be an effective solution to mitigate these risks and enhance miners' health, safety, and security. This thesis aims to present the development of an enhanced tracking and risk management platform for gold miners. The platform utilizes various technologies, including hardware, software, and GIS, to track and monitor miners' movements, health status, and safety in real-time. The study also evaluates the platform's effectiveness in enhancing miners' health, safety, and security and discusses potential future improvements and extensions.
