This thesis explores the implementation of Corporate Performance Management (CPM) and its potential to improve business planning and control in organizations' human resources (HR). The primary research question focuses on identifying how CPM can enhance HR functions. To address this question, the study begins with an extensive literature review of CPM and its utilization in HR. The research then delves into the examination of the advantages and limitations of employing CPM compared to traditional Business Intelligence (BI) software. A case study approach is employed to investigate a company that has integrated an HR planning system with CPM. Through this analysis, the key factors that influence the successful implementation of CPM in organizations are identified. Moreover, the study aims to develop best practices for implementing CPM and provide practical guidance and recommendations for organizations considering its adoption. By accomplishing these objectives, the thesis contributes to the existing knowledge on CPM and its impact on business planning and control.
