This thesis aims to explore the history of linguistic colonialism in Africa, its impact on African languages and cultures, and efforts to decolonize African languages. Understanding the dynamics of linguistic colonialism is crucial for addressing the linguistic, cultural, and social challenges that continue to affect many African societies.
