La Mine de La Mejicana, Chilecito, La Rioja, Argentine : Constitution d’un paysage minier et enjeux de sa préservation (XVème - XXIème siècles)

The landscape of Chilecito, La Rioja, Argentina, and of the Famatina mountains overlooking the city is caracterized by outstanding constructions in relation to its long mining tradition. This thesis studies the making of this complex landscape and the inner relations between those structures. The goal is to support the protection as world heritage of the site, but also to analyse the role of a global and multidisciplinary study in industrial landscapes, to understand who the historical and contemporary stakeholders are, and the role of this heritage in protecting the land and sustaining the people.

Le paysage de la ville de Chilecito, La Rioja, Argentine, et celui du massif de la Famatina qui le surplombe est marqué par de nombreux vestiges remarquables liés à une très longue occupation minière du territoire. Ce mémoire a pour but d'étudier la constitution de ce paysage et les relations qu'entretiennent encore aujourd'hui ces vestiges, afin d'accompagner le classement au titre du patrimoine mondial que la communauté est en train de demander. il s'agit également de travailler sur les enjeux d'une étude globale et interdisciplinaire du paysage technique afin d'en comprendre les acteurs historiques et contemporains, comme les potentialités pour protéger et dynamiser le territoire.
