The study of the BCS-BEC crossover is one of the most interesting topics in condensed matter theory of the last 20 years. In this work, we aim to extend the analysis of the crossover BCS-BEC in presence of finite-size effects in 2D. In detail, we will derive equations, such as the Number and the Gap equations, and quantities, such as the condensed fraction and the superfluid density, that are mainly characterizing this framework. We will start with a Mean Field level analysis, but Gaussian corrections will be next taken into account in order to obtain better results. Furthermore, we will introduce the Berezinskii-Kosterlitz-Thouless phase transition, thanks to which a 2D bosonic system is able to reach a quasi-condensate phase. In the last chapter an analysis involving the study of a set of Renormalized Group equations will be performed to investigate this phenomenon.

Abstract
In the last chapter an analysis involving the study of a set of Renormalized Group equations will be performed to investigate this phenomenon.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
