The thesis is performed inside the ISOLPHARM project, which has the aim to develop radiopharmaceutics for radionuclide therapy. In particular, this work focuses on the evaluation of a radioisotope candidate: the Ag-111. The study of this radionuclide consists in the evaluation of the absorbed dose at cellular level in the case in which the silver isotope is positioned in the external enviroment, on the cell surface or inside the cell. These values are obtained by simulations in Geant4. To evaluate the code there will be the comparison of the simulated values with the ones obtained in Pavia (LENA nuclear reactor) in the case of Co-60. Then, there will be the evaluation of the effective efficiency of Ag-111. This can be done with the comparison of the Ag-111 values with the ones obtained in the case of Lu-177. The latter is in fact a largely used radioisotope in radionuclide therapy.

Abstract
The latter is in fact a largely used radioisotope in radionuclide therapy.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
