The research study studies the influence of the environment on cognitive processes, as the level of green environments affect the degree of restorativity, the relationship between emotions and spatial representations and the link between environment and individual. The central objective is to analyze whether the urban environment in which the participant walks is able to influence emotions, perceived restorativity and the ability to estimate distance based on the level of green in the environment. In this research the participants were recruited through the presentation of this during the academic lessons. The study was carried out in two sessions, the first online and the second on the field.Positive correlations emerged between level of green and restorative, between positive emotions and restorative and between greater connection with nature and positive emotions; instead no significant correlation has emerged between green level and emotions, between green level and distance estimation and between distance estimation capabilities. The connection with nature seems to be related to positive emotions. So the green urban environment in which the participant walks influences the perceived restorativity, but not the distance esteem and emotions experienced.

Abstract
So the green urban environment in which the participant walks influences the perceived restorativity, but not the distance esteem and emotions experienced.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
