The purpose of the paper is to analyse the process of implementing the Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) approach within a pharmaceutical company, Fidia Farmaceutici S.p.A. The objective is to capture the current situation of the company and to observe the evolution of the implementation project, considering its pros and cons, as well as all the difficulties experienced in its application. In particular, this analysis is intended to explore the implementation of a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) software for maintenance automation, examining all the phases and difficulties encountered. In the first chapter, the intention is to present the literature surrounding the concepts of “maintenance”, focusing on its definition, various types, and historical evolution. Therefore, an in-depth analysis of the two key concepts of this paper, namely TPM and CMMS, is conducted, delving into their various aspects. With the second chapter an in-depth analysis of the company under examination is carried out. Subsequently, the aim is to capture the current situation of the company by analysing the maintenance workflow, the machine, the equipment, and the production facility maintenance plan, as well as the identified inefficiencies. In the third chapter, the aim is to report on the development of the company project: the implementation of CMMS and of the TPM approach. Therefore, various significant aspects are described: - Description of the process of implementing the CMMS in the pharmaceutical company. - Description of the design, development, testing, training, and system launch phases. - Identification of the main problems encountered, and the solution adopted. - Description of the process carried out for the adoption of lean maintenance. In the last chapter, an evaluation of the project is carried out, focusing on the months of implementation, and considering the differences compared to the methodology applied in the past and the mindset shift required for its development.

Abstract
In the last chapter, an evaluation of the project is carried out, focusing on the months of implementation, and considering the differences compared to the methodology applied in the past and the mindset shift required for its development.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
