This study aims to assess the value of ecosystem services provided by Forest Genetic Resources (FGR) with a focus on the Mediterranean context. FGR play a crucial role in maintaining biodiversity, ecosystem resilience, in addition, affecting the provision of numerous other ecosystem services. However, quantifying the value of FGR can be challenging due to their complex nature. The study builds on a mixed research methodology, combining literature review and an expert-based assessment. Besides investigating existing literature on the topic, we are aiming to gather diverse perspectives and insights on the value of FGR by contacting a panel of experts through Delphi method. The Delphi method, known for being an anonymous expert consensus-building process, allows for the systematic exploration of opinions and the identification of key factors influencing the value of FGR. The findings of this study will contribute to a better understanding of the importance and value of FGR, aiding in their effective management and conservation.

Abstract
The findings of this study will contribute to a better understanding of the importance and value of FGR, aiding in their effective management and conservation.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
