Purpose Driven Organizations From Theory To Practice

Purpose Driven Organizations are an emerging field in managerial studies. Purpose is considered by Rey, Bastons and Sotok as ' The basic idea, the essence, that underlies and sustains the meaning of mission, vision, or ultimate aspirations'. In my dissertation, starting from a literature point of view, in the first chapter I answered why corporations exist and what they are used for, starting from the Neoclassical model of the enterprise up to the present day. In the second chapter I focused on Hybrid Organizations, in particular Benefit Corporations by recounting their birth and importance in the world today. In the third chapter I analyze the managerial tools that make Purpose Driven Organizations real and thus what are the tools that turn purpose into practice and enable purpose management. In the fourth and last chapter I explained all the previous theory with some cases.
