This thesis concerns the use of open source evidence in the context of international criminal proceedings to determine violations of international, criminal and humanitarian law and of human rights. After an analysis of the evolution in the use of this type of information and its pros and cons, the specific context of the International Criminal Court is considered through an in-depth examination of the current rules in this field and its case law.
