This thesis aims to explore and compare the Botanical Garden of Padua and the Singapore Botanic Gardens, both honored with the prestigious UNESCO certification, with a focus on the positive impact resulting from their collaboration initiated this year. The primary objective is to analyze how these institutions have initiated a partnership aimed at exchanging best practices in sustainable tourism and adopting actions to promote overall sustainability. Through a detailed analysis of joint initiatives, sustainable management policies, and efforts to engage the local community, we seek to understand how this collaboration can contribute to raising environmental awareness and promoting responsible tourism models. This study aligns with the growing importance of cultural institutions' commitment to sustainability promotion and aims to provide valuable insights for future projects.
Questa tesi si propone di esplorare e confrontare l'Orto Botanico di Padova e i Giardini Botanici di Singapore, entrambi insigniti della prestigiosa certificazione UNESCO, focalizzandosi sull'impatto positivo derivante dalla loro collaborazione avviata quest'anno. L'obiettivo principale è analizzare come queste istituzioni abbiano avviato una partnership finalizzata allo scambio di buone pratiche nel settore del turismo sostenibile e nell'adozione di azioni per promuovere la sostenibilità generale. Attraverso un'analisi dettagliata delle iniziative congiunte, delle politiche di gestione sostenibile e degli sforzi per coinvolgere la comunità locale, si cercherà di comprendere come questa collaborazione possa contribuire a migliorare la consapevolezza ambientale e a promuovere modelli di turismo responsabile. Questo studio si inserisce in un contesto di crescente importanza dell'impegno delle istituzioni culturali nella promozione della sostenibilità e mira a offrire spunti preziosi per progetti futuri.
