The global climate change phenomenon, which stands as one of the most formidable challenges confronting humanity, has catalysed concerted endeavours aimed at mitigating the emissions of greenhouse gases (GHGs). These emissions predominantly emanate from the utilization of fossil fuels over the past century. Given the projected sustained growth in global energy demand in the coming years, it becomes evident that a sole reliance on renewable energy sources is insufficient for rectifying the environmental impact of the energy sector. Consequently, the enhancement of energy efficiency emerges as a pivotal strategy in curtailing GHG emissions and addressing the exigent issue of climate change. The thesis is based on a project done during the internship with Mixa Consulting Srl. in Ponte San Nicolo (PD). The project focuses on the energy management system of an electric motor producer situated in the province of Venezia. The original objective is to investigate the current energy use profile and propose energy efficiency improvement opportunities, establishing a background for an energy management system according to ISO 50001. However, we were able to only conduct a preliminary energy diagnosis phase due to time constraints. The thesis will also discuss some critical aspects of the energy management system of the company.

Abstract
The thesis will also discuss some critical aspects of the energy management system of the company.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
