The study focused on the digital servitization journey and the role of KIBS in Italian manufacturing firms. After laying the theoretical groundwork and diving into the definitions of each of the concepts of servitization journey, digital servitization, as well as knowledge-intensive business solutions, the focus was shifted toward the empirical analysis whose data was collected through a survey distributed to Italian firms in the North of Italy. After doing so, the responses of the questionnaire were analyzed by using the fsQCA model and we identified different paths taken by these firms while going through the servitization journey and moving towards the implementation of advanced services.
