Technological innovations in a historical perspective: The impact of war technology.

The last century saw three major global conflicts which shaped not only the geo-political landscape, but our lives as well. These three conflicts are The Great War, The Second World War and The Cold War. While most technological advancements that this thesis will focus on are currently applied in our day to day lives in order to improve our commodity and efficiency, it is crucial to remember that they only appeared due to the nature of these conflicts and the challenges these technological innovations were attempting to overcome. The structure of these thesis will follow chronological events, since some technologies are linked one to another. The aim of the thesis is to have a different perspective on these three conflicts, especially from a historical and technological point of view.
