Las variedades del español: un viaje entre España y América descubriendo las peculiaridades de este idioma

This dissertation analyzes Spanish diatopic variation, more specifically it studies the different peculiarities that characterize it. The research focuses mainly on the different varieties of Spanish that can be found in Spain and in America in terms of pronunciation, orthography, morphosyntax and, above all, vocabulary and idioms. To this end, in order to find out the influence of diatopic variation in this linguistic component, it has been possible to collect data related to the expressions most used by Spanish speakers through a survey and direct interviews with native speakers from different areas of Spain and America.

La tesis presenta un análisis de la variación geográfica de la lengua española, que abarca concretamente las diferentes peculiaridades que caracterizan este idioma. La investigación se enfoca principalmente en las distintas variedades de español que se pueden encontrar en España y América a nivel de fonética, ortografía, morfosintaxis y, en particular, en lo que se refiere al léxico y los modismos. A este propósito, se han recogido datos relacionados con las expresiones más empleadas por los hispanohablantes a través de un cuestionario y de entrevistas directas a personas nativas de diferentes zonas de España y de América para averiguar la influencia de la variación diatópica en este componente lingüístico.
