This dissertation presents a study on the role of grammar in teaching English as a foreign language. In particular, a research project including a questionnaire based on L1 Transfer has been carried out. The questionnaire was shared with English teachers from different Italian schools. The aim of this study is to investigate the role of grammar in EFL teaching, taking into account teachers' attitude towards this issue.

Abstract
