El lenguaje juvenil en la traducción audiovisual: propuesta de traducción y análisis comparativo-contrastivo del subtitulado español-italiano de la serie Élite

In my work, I addressed the various aspects of audiovisual translation: from its appearance to its evolution thanks to the development of the Internet and the resulting technologies, up to the current times. Focusing particularly on the situation in two countries, Spain and Italy, I analysed the similarities and differences involving the production and distribution of audiovisual contents and their transposition to other cultures through the various forms of translation. Furthermore, I analysed how the work situation, specifically in the area of subtitling, differs in these two countries. I focused the second part of my thesis on the prefabricated orality that is typical of audiovisual products, with a particular interest in the youthful colloquial language typical of television series aimed at adolescents and the lexical, syntactic, pragmatic and conversational features that characterise it. The last part concerns the study I carried out on the analysis of the Spanish-Italian subtitles of the Élite series and the changes they undergo due to different cultural and linguistic variations and the choice of various translation techniques and subtitling strategies. In conclusion, referring to the analysis previously carried out, I developed my own translation proposal with regard to the translation solutions I considered appropriate for the Italian cultural and linguistic context in the area of youth slang.

En mi trabajo he abordado los diferentes aspectos de la traducción audiovisual: desde su nacimiento, pasando por su evolución gracias a la aparición de Internet y las tecnologías derivadas, hasta llegar a los tiempos actuales. Centrándome especialmente en la situación de dos países, España e Italia, he analizado las semejanzas y diferencias que presentan la producción y distribución de contenidos audiovisuales y su transposición a otras culturas a través de las distintas formas de traducción. Además, he investigado cómo cambia la situación laboral, concretamente en el ámbito de la subtitulación, en estos dos países. He enfocado la segunda parte de mi tesis en la oralidad prefabricada típica de los productos audiovisuales, con especial interés en el lenguaje coloquial juvenil propio de las series de televisión dirigidas a adolescentes y en los rasgos léxicos, sintácticos, pragmáticos y conversacionales que lo caracterizan. La última parte de mi tesis se dedica al estudio que he llevado a cabo sobre el análisis de los subtítulos español-italiano de la serie Élite y los cambios que experimentan debido a las distintas variaciones culturales y lingüísticas y a la elección de diversas técnicas de traducción y estrategias de subtitulación. Por último, tomando como referencia el análisis realizado anteriormente, he elaborado mi propia propuesta de traducción en relación con las soluciones de traducción que he considerado adecuadas para el contexto cultural y lingüístico italiano en el ámbito de la jerga juvenil.
