The main objective of this thesis is to address a gap in coffee industry terminology, with a specific focus on coffee plants, processing phases, and tasting. The absence of specialized glossaries in Italian and English for these areas poses a challenge for individuals attempting to translate in this field without significant expertise. The thesis unfolds in three main phases. First, the text offers an introduction to common terminology, followed by a section dedicated to agri-food terminology and, finally, one focused on the specific terminology of coffee. Bilingual corpora were used to support the analysis within the study domain, created using Sketch Engine software. These corpora are essential for the extraction of terminologies and the creation of conceptual schemes and lexical networks in Italian and English. Subsequently, based on these resources, terminological sheets were developed for in-depth qualitative analysis. Terminological sheets were then developed on the basis of these resources for in-depth qualitative analysis. The objective of this thesis is to provide essential linguistic and terminological resources to facilitate translation and effective communication in the coffee industry, for the benefit of those who are not experts in the field but need to work in this domain.
