The following thesis represents a detailed approach to the complex interaction between digital world, Internet, World Wide Web and Artificial Intelligence (AI) and aims to contribute to the understanding of a constantly changing world, providing significant insights into future developments and research in digital technologies and AI. Through an introductory analysis of the concept of "digital" and its historical evolution, a basis is provided to understand in depth the Internet and the Web, exploring the evolution of the Internet, from its initial definition to the key phases of its development, culminating in the analysis of the World Wide Web, with a particular focus on Tim Berners-Lee and the operation of the network. Subsequently, the different iterations of the Web are examined, starting from the "Guestbook" phase of Web 1.0 and through the social revolution of Web 2.0, to explore the emerging concept of Web 3.0, driven by blockchain technology. We then move on to Artificial Intelligence and its different facets, with an overview of the history, challenges and future developments, with an in-depth analysis of Machine Learning and Deep Learning, to understand how these technologies interact with the Web. In particular, the intersection between the Web and AI is highlighted, underlining how the Web is shaping itself, exploring the ways in which AI is changing the Web and how the Web can be enhanced by the Web. In particular, the combined uses of the two technologies and the advantages that derive from them are analyzed, but also the problems related to copyright. In conclusion, a concrete case study, namely the use of ChatGPT, is addressed to demonstrate the practical application of AI in the context of the Web, highlighting how this technology can improve interaction and automate online processes.

Abstract
In conclusion, a concrete case study, namely the use of ChatGPT, is addressed to demonstrate the practical application of AI in the context of the Web, highlighting how this technology can improve interaction and automate online processes.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
