The thesis describes the study and sizing process of a domestic unit for the production of hot water using a transcritical vapor compression cycle. The focus was mainly on the selection of various components available on the market for the unit, along with the necessary tests for machine evaluation, such as performance, heating up time, and the amount of hot water available at the final users temperature.
