The thesis work carried out was based on the identification and initial laboratory-scale development of a continuous process for the treatment of reactive metal powders with caustic soda, in order to render them inert. It went from an initial phase of identification of the possible reaction system, to a second phase of construction and testing, to the optimization of the reaction conditions, trying to capture useful informations for future improvements of the reactor.
Il lavoro di tesi svolto si è basato sull'identificazione e sul preliminare sviluppo, su scala di laboratorio, di un processo continuo per il trattamento di polveri metalliche con soda caustica, al fine di renderle inerti. Si è passati da una fase iniziale di identificazione del possibile sistema di reazione, a una seconda fase di costruzione e test, per poi ottimizzare le condizioni di reazione, cercando di catturare informazioni utili per il futuro miglioramento del reattore.
