The growing textile industry and the rise of fast fashion led to a significant increase in the textile waste. This waste is often landfilled, which has a negative environmental impact. This thesis work proposes a low-cost and low-environmental impact process for recovering polyamide 6 from multicomponent textile waste. The approach involves two different strategies. The first consists in a selective separation of polyamide from the elastomeric component through physical and mechanical method for reuse it in a wide range of applications (textile to textile and textile to plastics). The second method does not include a selective separation but a pre-treatment process, the pulverization, that allows a recovery of textile limited only to plastic applications (textile to plastics).
