Best practices for green supplier identification: a systematic literature review

This systematic literature review investigates the best practices and key performance indicators for identifying green suppliers within supply chains. The research addresses the increasing emphasis on sustainability in business operations and the importance of integrating environmentally conscious suppliers into supply chain management. Utilizing the Scopus database, the study employs a thorough selection process, including only peer-reviewed journal articles published between 1995 and 2022, to ensure quality and relevance. The review highlights the need for clear, evidence-based tools for improving sustainable sourcing operations and supports organizations in their pursuit of long-term sustainable strategies. By analysing and synthesizing data from selected articles, the research aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of effective strategies for green supplier identification, facilitating better integration of sustainability into supply chain practices.
