The purpose of this thesis is to enhance the understanding of how to successfully adapt governance and ownership to newer and constantly evolving forms of organization required to sustain high environmental dynamism and uncertainty to remain competitive. To fulfill this purpose, the thesis analyzes the modern context, known as the VUCA world, where companies have to compete and how organizational design is changing. Moreover, the current corporate governance and ownership structures have been examined to adapt them to the constantly changing organizational design.
