This thesis investigates the role of Private Equity and Initial Public Offerings (IPOs) in the performance and strategic plans of firms involved in these operations. It is composed of a literature review and an analysis of an empirical case. The first chapter provides an overview of the Private Equity sector, analysing its dynamics, and introducing the concept of Growth Equity. Key factors such as value levers and expansion plans are explored to shed light on the decision-making process of companies that are seeking capital, and of Private Equity investors. The second chapter focuses on Initial Public Offerings, understanding why companies decide to go public, and the outcomes of such a decision. The third chapter analyses an empirical case, namely the Eurogroup Laminations case. The firm has been involved in a Growth Equity operation which has led to the Initial Public Offering of the company. The study displays the results of this sequence of operations. By using a qualitative and quantitative approach, insights are gleaned into the enduring benefits and challenges associated with Growth Equity operations and IPOs. The findings of this thesis highlight the strategic value and financial impact of these topics; it also identifies potential risks and areas for further exploration, providing valuable insights for investors and stakeholders.

Abstract
The findings of this thesis highlight the strategic value and financial impact of these topics; it also identifies potential risks and areas for further exploration, providing valuable insights for investors and stakeholders.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
