This thesis examines the onirism and identity concerns present in Eugène Ionesco's works "L'Homme aux valises" and "Voyages chez les morts". Through a detailed study, it highlights how these constants found in his literary creations have gained significant and conclusive prominence. Following an introductory chapter that provides biographical elements and a general analysis of these two aspects, the subsequent two chapters delve into these themes. The focus is on the evolution of the use of dreams as a tool for self-discovery, with particular emphasis on the author's biculturalism and the conflicts arising from having two cultural identities, as well as the resolution of these conflicts.
