Due to climate change, sea levels have risen significantly in the last decades, causing extensive damage to the ecosystem, human health, economy, and tourism, but also to infrastructure and private property. Sea Level rise is a phenomenon whose unpredictability and speed have made it necessary to take measures to deal with the damage caused and to protect people and property. This study aims to investigate how the United States and Europe have responded and are responding to this phenomenon, and what practices are in place to protect private property or to manage the damage caused by rising sea levels.

Abstract
Due to climate change, sea levels have risen significantly in the last decades, causing extensive damage to the ecosystem, human health, economy, and tourism, but also to infrastructure and private property. Sea Level rise is a phenomenon whose unpredictability and speed have made it necessary to take measures to deal with the damage caused and to protect people and property. This study aims to investigate how the United States and Europe have responded and are responding to this phenomenon, and what practices are in place to protect private property or to manage the damage caused by rising sea levels.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
