Un cas d'étude de la francophonie européenne: l'écrivaine estonienne francophone Katrina Kalda et ses œuvres

The aim of this study is to study and analyze the Francophone novels written by an Estonian writer, Katrina Kalda. The focus of this research is to see how the Estonian reality is explained and what imaginary of this country you want to communicate to the French public. Translations of the works into Estonian are also considered, in particular in search of simplification, with particular attention to the lexicon and the question of the writer’s identity. The thesis proposes a literary analysis of the works, starting from the recurrent themes in the novels to continue with an analysis of the meetings. Readers' reactions were also tested, comparing the opinions of the French and Estonian audiences. The work ends with two itervistas with the writer Katrina Kalda and the translator Anti Saar.

L'obiettivo di questo studio è di studiare e analizzare i romanzi francofoni scritti da una scrittrice estone, Katrina Kalda. Il fulcro di questa ricerca consiste nel vedere come la realtà estone viene spiegata e quale immaginario di questo paese si vuole comunicare al pubblico francese. Inoltre vengono prese in considerazione le traduzioni delle opere in estone, in particolare alla ricerca di semplificazioni, con particolare attenzione al lessico nonché alla questione dell'identità dello scrittore. La tesi propone un'analisi letteraria delle opere, a partire dai temi ricorrenti nei romanzi per proseguire con un’analisi delletraduzioni. Si è anche cercato di sondare le reazioni dei lettori, paragonando le opinioni del pubblico francese e di quello estone. Il lavoro si chiude con due iterviste con la scrittrice Katrina Kalda e con il traduttore Anti Saar.
