India and the European Union have always maintained a very good relation in terms of migration since the 1960s. In recent years, the European Union has seen a lot of influx in terms of non- european students and India has played a significant role in the student mobility in Europe. This dissertation focuses on this Indian student migration to Europe and analyzes the factors which led to the students choosing Germany or Italy as an option instead of the United Kingdom. This study focuses on analyzing the outflow of Indian students and the inflow in Europe and understanding students' approach to mobility Thus, causing a brain drain in India and a brain gain in Europe due to this migration trend.
