This study aimed to learn the connection between character strength and acculturation and how these two can lead to the well-being of ethnic minorities living in Georgia. The four acculturation orientations—marginalization, assimilation, separation, and integration—are examined from two theoretical angles (conceptual models of assimilating into the mainstream and adopting the dominant culture), with orientation causes and outcomes evaluated. The connection of character strengths with positive psychological variables is confirmed by several studies, which is why character strengths are an important research variable in positive psychology. A different perspective is offered by a new model of character strengths, according to which individual character strengths can be underutilized, optimally, and overused. The main variables of the mentioned research are character strength, acculturation, and their connection to the well-being and life satisfaction of ethnic minorities in Georgia In the given research 106 responders participated, but because of missing values 4 of them were removed from the base, and in the end, 102 responders were left. In this research, we used the Global Assessment of Character Strength - 24 (GACS-24) - Via Institute on Character; PWB (psychological well-being scale) copyright by Ed Diener and Robert Biswas-Diner, 2009; Satisfaction with life scale (SWLS) - Copyright by Ed Diener, February 13, 2006; acculturation orientation measurement scale - (Snauwaert B., Soennens B., Vanbeselaere N., 2003. Results showed a connection between character strength virtues and acculturation, orientations of acculturation, well-being, and life satisfaction. The study also showed a connection between orientations of acculturation and well-being as well as with life satisfaction.

Abstract
Georgian Version - Kitiashvili A., Tkeshelashvili T., 2022. GESJ: Education Science and Psychology 2022 | No.1(62)) Data were collected online, using an online questionnaire using Google Forms. Results showed a connection between character strength virtues and acculturation, orientations of acculturation, well-being, and life satisfaction. The study also showed a connection between orientations of acculturation and well-being as well as with life satisfaction.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
