Neurofilament chain is one of the biomarkers distinctively known for neurodegeneration and development of Parkinson's disease. Previous studies have shown a correlation between the presence of this biomarker alongside of cognitive symptoms in patients suffering from neurodegenerative disorders. In this dissertation, I will discuss diagnostic properties of neurofilament light chain in their association with cognitive deficits in PD.

Abstract
