The present thesis work involved the development of a urinary conduit obtained by coupling decellularized porcine small intestine submucosa (SIS) with a polycarbonate urethane (Chronoflex AR). The conduit was biomechanically characterized through a series of experimental tests: ring, indentation, and insufflation tests. This allowed for the evaluation of the mechanical and hydraulic behavior of the construct and its suitability as a device for creating urinary diversion following radical cystectomy.

Abstract
The present thesis work involved the development of a urinary conduit obtained by coupling decellularized porcine small intestine submucosa (SIS) with a polycarbonate urethane (Chronoflex AR). The conduit was biomechanically characterized through a series of experimental tests: ring, indentation, and insufflation tests. This allowed for the evaluation of the mechanical and hydraulic behavior of the construct and its suitability as a device for creating urinary diversion following radical cystectomy.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
