Different brain functional networks display different metabolic consumption, but the relationship between regional brain metabolism and resting-state networks is still under investigation. By applying PLSC, a multivariate approach capable of capturing covariation between two modalities, this thesis seeks to identify key regions and networks where fMRI resting-state functional connectivity and [18F]FDG-PET local glucose metabolism are closely linked during resting-state conditions.

Abstract
Different brain functional networks display different metabolic consumption, but the relationship between regional brain metabolism and resting-state networks is still under investigation. By applying PLSC, a multivariate approach capable of capturing covariation between two modalities, this thesis seeks to identify key regions and networks where fMRI resting-state functional connectivity and [18F]FDG-PET local glucose metabolism are closely linked during resting-state conditions.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
