Rehabilitation treatments based on cognitive stimulation have recently been proposed as useful approaches to improve or stabilize cognitive functions in patients with mild to moderate cognitive impairment.. The objective of the following paper is to verify whether, in chronic post-stroke patients with mild to moderate cognitive impairment, Cognitive Stimulation (CS) delivered remotely by a telerehabilitation system (TR), can improve cognitive performance and/or activities of daily life through the administration of the above mentioned treatment for about 4 consecutive weeks (5 times a week, 1h a day). In addition, a literature review will be carried out to trace the main aspects of telerehabilitation, placing greater emphasis on the reasons why this treatment has increased exponentially in recent years and its application areas in various neurological conditions. The same process will be applied to the stroke, outlining the possible repercussions that derive from both a cognitive and emotional point of view.

Abstract
Rehabilitation treatments based on cognitive stimulation have recently been proposed as useful approaches to improve or stabilize cognitive functions in patients with mild to moderate cognitive impairment.. In addition, a literature review will be carried out to trace the main aspects of telerehabilitation, placing greater emphasis on the reasons why this treatment has increased exponentially in recent years and its application areas in various neurological conditions. The same process will be applied to the stroke, outlining the possible repercussions that derive from both a cognitive and emotional point of view.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
