Analisi e comparazione di 4 artisti post internet: Cory Arcangel, Jordan Wolfson, Jon Rafman, Ryan Trecartin

The thesis aims to analyze the similarities and differences between four contemporary artists who come from the new media art cluster that is post internet art. Cory Arcangel, Jordan Wolfson, Jon Rafman, Ryan Trecartin are among the artists who have had the most success and achieved it the fastest, reaching institutions such as the Venice Biennale or museums such as Moma before mid-career. The aim of the thesis is to understand the reasons for this success and, examining especially the latest works, to understand in which direction they are moving with their research.

La tesi si propone di analizzare le analogie e le differenze tra quattro artisti contemporanei che provengono dal cluster della new media art che è la post internet art. Cory Arcangel, Jordan Wolfson, Jon Rafman, Ryan Trecartin sono tra gli artisti che hanno avuto più successo e lo hanno ottenuto più velocemente, raggiungendo istituzioni come La Biennale di Venezia o musei come il Moma prima della mid career. Obiettivo della tesi è capire le ragioni di questo successo e, esaminando soprattutto le ultime opere, capire in che direzione si stanno muovendo con la loro ricerca.
