Residential buildings play prominent role in sustainable development and environmental impacts not only during the construction phase but also during it's whole life cycle including the the usage phase and the demolition phase ( End-Of-Life ) . Therefore , the aim of this thesis is using the life cycle assessment ( LCA ) tool to assess the environmental impacts of the residential buildings by a case of study of a residential building in Milan , Italy . Software : SimaPro V8.1 was used in the analysis under standers of ISO 14040 . Results show the environmental impacts based on each phase with a Cradle to grave approach starting from the construction phase till the disposal of the demolition waste .
