“Could the European Union’s migration management based on third countries agreements be an effective blueprint in the long-run?”. Having in mind this research question, the thesis aims at understanding the implementation of the European Union migration management framework with third country Agreement. Firstly, it is going to analyze the EU migration and asylum policies with a particular attention to the year 2015 and its consequences within the EU system. Secondly, it is going to describe and analyze three Agreements: the EU-Turkey Statement, the Italy-Libya Memorandum of Understanding and the Italy-Albania Agreement. The thesis will take into account the implementation of each of one, considering if the implementation can be understand as an efficient one and if these Agreements led to real results over time.
